Spruce Creek Country Club--More Golf, More Amenities       

Spruce Creek Country Club, an active-adult community by Del Webb in Central Florida, is now a 36-hole facility after opening nine new holes to its Eagle Ridge Golf Club last December.  

The 9-hole addition is one of the latest developments at this 3,200-home, active adult center located in Summerfield, Fla., just minutes away from Ocala and 60 miles from Orlando.  

Spruce Creek now has 36 holes.

Earlier last year, the community for ages 55 and better debuted the Lake Vista Fitness Center, a 14,000-square-foot facility that features an indoor heated pool, state-of-the-art equipment, an aerobics room and covered spa.     

The Fitness Center and expanded golf complete a solid amenity-based portfolio that already features the Horizon Club Community Center, a 32,000-square-foot facility that acts as the hub of activity for this active community of 1,800 homes.

Seven years after Del Webb acquired Spruce Creek from the original developer, the community is turning the corner on home sales. According to a sales representative, there were approximately 1,800 homes already built as of January this year, more than half of the planned 3,200-home buildout.
