Single-Family Living in Naples

In an area where golf course communities abound, the 600-acre, gated community of Olde Cypress offers a truly distinctive touch. Not only does it offer low-density living, the community is comprised of only single-family homes.

Sample home
Olde Cypress offers single-family homes with the emphasis on family.

“It’s very unusual,” says Jill Rogers, vice president of sales for Olde Cypress. “Most developers include coach homes and condos to maximize density in their land planning. We’re all single-family homes and very low density.”

Indeed, Olde Cypress is "known for its pristine natural beauty, unmatched in other golf course communities," says Rogers.

Another appealing aspect to Olde Cypress is its central location, with Fifth Avenue shopping and dining, the Philharmonic Center, Florida Gulf Coast University and, of course, the beaches of Naples and nearby Marco Island, all within a short drive.

Clubhouse

Family Friendly
Whether it’s cooking lessons with the chef, holiday visits with Santa, or golfing on the 18-hole course designed by P.B. Dye, Olde Cypress certainly features a family-friendly environment. At the same time, there’s a very Old World elegant touch to the 38,000-square-foot clubhouse that is the heart of the community’s activities.

The club’s interior design and décor gives the feel of a centuries-old Spanish castle. The graceful style of the clubhouse is showcased by its Grande Gallery. Featuring artists such as Art Fronckowiak, known for his Old Florida scenes, the Grande Gallery is a functional gallery that blends wonderfully with the friendly atmosphere of the Barcelona Bar (an English-style pub), the grand Madrid Ballroom and the more casual Cypress Terrace.

Golf bridge
Four of the holes on the course have no homes on them.

As for the amenities, the Dye-designed course is a picturesque layout with four of the holes exclusive of any homes. The course is also surrounded by an environmental preserve overflowing with native flowers and wildlife. Meanwhile, members have access to tennis, separate yoga and pilates workout areas and general training in the fitness room.

150 New Lots Coming
With just 65 of its original 427 lots left as of July '04, Olde Cypress is close to selling out its nine original neighborhoods in which prices range from $300,000 to more than $1.5 million. But that’s not to say Olde Cypress is closing the doors on its successful community.

According to Rogers, Olde Cypress is in the process of adding 60 acres, comprising some 150 new villas. The new neighborhood, Preserve Estates, is expected to be available in September, says Rogers, with home and lot packages expecting to sell from the $400,00s to the mid-$600,000s.

“Preserve Estates will offer beautiful lake and preserve views,” added Rogers, whose Stock Development employer is also affiliated with Lely Resort and Grandezza.

A Hot Start
If the Parade of Homes earlier this year was any indication, the new phase of Olde Cypress will get off to a hot start. How else does one describe the 8,000 visitors who poured through the community to see 10 furnished models, all of which were sold?

“It kicked off our most successful year of sales ever,” said Rogers, referring to the January/February public event. “We’ve already achieved $55 million in sales for a community that typically does $30 million, plus or minus, in a year."
